Pollença is a municipality on the North coast of Majorca. The municipality shelters approx. 16.000 habitants, approx. 20% of the habitants are international residents from all over the world. The population lives mainly in the principal locality of the same name, seven kilometres away from the coast, in the rather touristic Port de Pollença as well as in Cala Sant Vicenç. The locality of Pollença is an idyllic place with multitudinous places of interest and an important history. It is considered as the place of artists and intellectuals, on Majorca. Beside the popular artisan work, there are also many painters and musicians who did move mainstream here. This interesting mixture confers to this town a very particular charm. Many international residents have settled down in the surroundings. The properties are often of very high-class, especially in the area of the marina and the areas around Pollença shelter often fantastic properties.
